Grade Level: Geometry Unit: Properties of Triangles
Introduction:
In this unit students will learn how to solve angles and sides of certain triangles. Students have to use technology to learn this lesson, recognize the difference between triangles, and know their unique properties.
Unit objectives:
Student will be able to identify sides of triagles with their angle
Student will have a firm grasp of using sin, cos, and tan
Student will be able to solve triagles and be able to apply them
Students will know names and appearances of all triangles
Students will know theorems in ordere to solve triangles
Time required to complete this unit: 2-3 weeks
Basic Concepts/Skills to be Taught:
Know how to identify cos, sin, tan on a triagle
Know and apply th pathagorean theorem
Know acute/obtuse/right triangles
Know what different rules apply to each triangle
Know how to label and carry out solving sides and angles of a triangle
Know how to exercise their technology ability in assignments
